“Shoebury Athletic was formed in 2016 by myself, at the age of just 14. Originally we were just a team of mates until I realised we could do something no club has done before, open ourselves up to the community and get as many people playing the beautiful game. In the 2017/18 season, we did just that and opened to have a youth team with FREE, yes FREE registration for its first year, just to see how it went. It was brilliant, now, we offer the lowest registration possible, probably the cheapest in the county of Essex and are proud to off kept our yearly expansion by expanding yet again for the 2018-2019 season.

Obviously, we require a lot of support from businesses due to the cost of playing football which had prevented the players who play for us the chance to play as most couldn’t afford it. We even sometimes as managers chip in an buy equipment out of our own money to help out.

We are also proud to announce we are in talks with the FA about building a community football centre in Shoeburyness and also look at going into the football league pyramid from 2025!”
