“I am a primary school teacher at the school. I started at the school last year. One of the first things I was asked to do was to start a team. The school had not had one for several years and their was a void for it. We started by training the oldest classes in the first terms and played our first few games in mix and match kits. The kids turned up every week playing in all weathers. As the team grew we gained sponsorship for a new Pendle kit.

In our final term we enetered our first competition and got to the semi finals only losing on penalties. This gave the team and school a taste for the game we now expanded the team into 3 teams who all play and compete between p5-7. This has led to several runners up spots and 2 trophies!

This school year has seen a dramatic growth and pride in the school and the children have relished the chance to reprensent the school. As the team expanded 2 of the 4 teams we sponsered in matching Pendle kits. The goals is to continue giving more children in the school the chance to play for the school in the school colours in Pendle kits.”
